How to use the public board
The board displays member posts about building a social life in a new city or country. It supports publishing, a local helpful mark and private reports. Threaded replies and comment notifications are not available. You can ask about recurring activities, language exchange, first-meeting ideas, friendship after moving or practical ways to feel less isolated.
A helpful post gives enough context to answer without exposing private information. City-level location, preferred activity and general availability are usually enough. Avoid phone numbers, exact home addresses, workplace schedules, identity documents and private information about children or other people.
If you want to turn a discussion into an in-person plan, use Kindred Meetups and follow the Safety and Community Guidelines. Community posts are user-generated and are not endorsements or professional advice.
Forum FAQ
What makes a good forum question?
A useful post gives city-level context, the activity you want and one clear question. Replies are not available here. For an organiser answer, use a contact on their official activity page.
Can I move from a forum topic to a meetup?
Yes. If people have agreed on a real plan through an appropriate contact channel, a Kindred Meetup can publish the city-level proposal. A board post alone does not establish agreement or attendance.
What should stay private?
Phone numbers, exact addresses, work schedules, identity documents, private information about children and sensitive personal history should not be posted publicly.
