Why Kindred exists
Moving can be exciting and lonely at the same time. A new place may offer work, study or adventure, while everyday belonging still takes time. Kindred is designed to shorten the distance between “I am new here” and “I know people here.”
The project favors groups of four to six people, clear activities and public meeting places. It is not a dating service and Social Dice is not gambling. It is a playful way to discover possible social connections without money, prizes or wagering.

Creator and editorial responsibility
Nadiia Honda is the creator and editor of Kindred, an independent project dedicated to helping people build meaningful friendships and feel more at home in a new city.
She created Kindred to offer practical, thoughtful guidance for the moments that often feel the most difficult: meeting people after moving, starting natural conversations, finding welcoming groups and turning new acquaintances into lasting friendships.
Nadiia writes and reviews Kindred’s guides with an emphasis on realistic actions, personal boundaries, privacy and safer public meetings. The project avoids promises of instant connection and instead focuses on the small, repeatable steps that help trust and belonging grow over time.
Kindred is currently an independent public preview. Nadiia continues to develop its guides and tools in response to reader feedback and the changing needs of people starting again in unfamiliar places.
