Eligibility
Kindred Community is for adults aged 18 or older. You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. Do not create an account for another person or impersonate someone.
Profiles and privacy
Use a truthful display name and general city-level location. Do not publish exact home addresses, identity documents, private medical information or children’s personal information. You control whether your profile appears in Discover.
Connections, messages and calls
A connection request does not create an obligation to respond or meet. Private messaging becomes available only after acceptance. Text messages, voice messages, meeting proposals and video-call invitations may be available between connected members. Respect a refusal, declined request, block and request to stop contacting someone. Kindred does not verify identities, arrange meetings or guarantee another member’s conduct.
Video calls may open through Jitsi Meet, a third-party service with its own terms and privacy practices. Do not record or redistribute another person’s call, voice message, photograph or private conversation without the permission required by applicable law.
Acceptable use
Do not use Kindred for harassment, hate, threats, sexual exploitation, discrimination, fraud, commercial spam, illegal activity, scraping personal information or attempts to compromise the service. Do not send sexual content without clear consent or use the service to target minors.
Reports and moderation
Members can submit private reports and block another account. Kindred may restrict or remove content or access when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance or enforcement of these terms. Reports are not emergency services. Contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.
Your content
You retain ownership of text you submit. You grant Kindred the limited permission needed to store, display and transmit that content as part of operating the service. You must have the right to submit it.
Availability and changes
The community is an early service and may change, pause or experience errors. The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
