Use the plan as a decision, not a test
The tool combines your starting point, time budget and preferred setting with Kindred’s suggested steps. It does not search live events, find members, diagnose social needs or measure compatibility. Two people with the same choices receive the same starting plan; edit it for your circumstances.
What counts as a useful result?
If you are new somewhere, a confirmed next session can be enough. If you have met someone, a clear invitation gives them something they can answer. If you already have a friend, agreeing on a manageable rhythm may be more useful than another long conversation about being busy.
Make a smaller week work
With 30 minutes, choose a brief call, a message or checking one group. Do not try to squeeze a long class into a short slot. For an in-person plan, include the journey, accessibility needs, preparation and recovery in your own calendar. If those costs are too high, shorten the contact or arrange a future date.
If the other person is unavailable
A draft is an invitation, not an appointment. Only meet or call after both people agree. Accept a decline without trying to persuade them. After silence, one later follow-up can be reasonable; if there is still no reply, leave the next step with them. The follow-up guide shows how to respond to different answers.
Check a place before you commit
Looking for a starting point? Browse Berlin library activities with published dates and joining details, then bring one into this planner.
Already have two options? Compare their time, full visit cost and joining requirements before choosing a session.
Look for the next date, an identifiable organiser, a clear cost, an accessible venue and an explanation of how newcomers join. Do not pay simply because a listing promises instant friendship. Compare options using the recurring-group worksheet.
Keep your invitation private
Use an agreed contact channel. Avoid adding someone to a group chat without asking, publishing their number or including your exact home address. For first meetings, choose a public place and keep your own way home. For online contact, check the room and recording rules before joining.
What happens to my checklist?
Steps stay in memory until you choose “Save on this device”. Saved plans stay in this browser until you delete them or clear site data; they do not sync between devices. Use “Restore saved plan” when you return. You can also copy, download or print your plan. Downloaded text and printed pages include the current plan and invitation; store them somewhere appropriate. The planner has no account requirement and does not automatically send messages or book activities.
